Hello everyone,

I have 3 computers in my study two of them are on windows 98, the other one is on windows XP.
Computer 1 - Windows 98
Computer 2 - Windows XP
Computer 3 - Windows 98

Ok, Computer 1, on windows 98 can access both the other machines, and both other machines can access it so it appears to be working perfectly, however Computers 2 and 3 cannot see eacother on the network. Does anyone know how i can fix this.

All 3 of the computer have specified IP addreses in the same range "192.168.20.xxx" and they are also all on the same subnet mask "255.255.0.0" i cannot change these IP's and Subnet masks, they must be specified in these ranges.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

192.168.20.0 is a class C address, maybe you had a typo, but your subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0. For your computers to all be on the same logical subnet they all need to be on network 192.168.20.xxx (xxx being the range for the host portion the address, the only part that can be different from one pc to another). Is your gateway/router IP address 192.168.20.1?

what do you mean by "see" each other? You have to be more specific. Can they ping each other?
