Activate front loading hotswap?

its for a learning experience
procom technology 4200c
1 scsi ultra3 300gb

when i install the drive i enter bios and its not there?
it runs a intel boot agent and if i don't enter bios it takes me to "SCI flash 6.1.0"?
I want to get this to work. I have no PCI scsi controllers for this how do I activate the front on board hot swap?

intel xeon 3.06ghx x2
6gb ram pc2100
i cant seem to get my SCSI drive to show up in bios
this is a learning experience so i don't ruin anything worth something
can anyone help ?
