Games Run Better In Single-GPU mode?!?!

In the Nvidia control panel if i select single-GPU my games are much smoother!, i want to utilise both cards, whats up??

I have sli enabled and am using the 185.85 drivers because they are smoothest for me.

Specs-
Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 @3.53Ghz
4GB Kingston 1066Mhz RAM Hyper X limited edition
Zotac GTX 260 OC 2xSLI
XFX 780i Motherboard
Western digital 320GB Caviar Blue x2 RAID0
Corsair 750W TX PSU

Getting the latest drivers may help with the SLI issues. SLI really ought to run better than single GPU in most games (some games however don't work properly with SLI)

I tend to get issues with the newer ones, and btw i'm playing GRID and call of duty MW2.

I would at least try the newest ones- if it doesn't work, you can always go back to the 185.85 you are using now. It can't hurt, and is the first thing that comes to mind with your issue.
