Hi Guys,

Id like upgrade my motherboard and processor, but keep the components I currently have
ie 6GB DDR2(800) memory
64GB SSD Card
Decent ATI graphics card
Any suggestions as to decent motherboard and processor?
Ideally Id like to spend £100 but willing to go to £200 if need be.

Is there any point in upgrading, or should I just wait till I can afford a new machine?

Thanks

Don

Thanks for replying.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+
MB: ABIT KN9 Ultra
MB has 4 mem slots and Im using them all.
GCARD: Radeon HD5850

I've also bought a cheapie SSD card from ebuyer which Im going to use once I've read up on configuring SSDs.

As little as possible. ;)
Prob about £100, but if its good value for money Im willing to pay more...
Im not planning on using SLI.

I'll mostly be using it for VM's and recording video tutorials.

Thanks for the suggestions.

The X3 looks good, but the Phenom looks a bit pricey. Id probably go for one of the bundles on overclockers or scan if I was going to spend a lot.
