Hi all

I wonder if anyone can give me some general advice on how best to shoot
night photos with this camera.

I have been to Vegas recently and the results where not good, I have read I
may have needed a tripod for decent results?

Are there any particular settings I would be advised to use on this camera?

Many thanks
Tony

ps. if anyone can recommend good web sites or books on digital photography I
would be grateful also.

I am sure you will get more advice but a tripod I would say is a must, well
at least it is for my shakey hands I also find a tripod good when I use zoom
or macro on my camera, I get much better results this way.

regards
