[solved] Cable box ir cable input?

hello, i'm trying to connect my cable set top box to my hauppauge 2250 tv tuner card. i have the ir blaster/receiver cable connected to the card. there is a second cable with just an ir blaster that i believe should be connected to the cable box. but my cable box does not seem to have the appropriate input. what should i do? thank you, ruthy c.

okay, i've got my remote working. apparently i did not need to connect the second ir blaster to the cable box. all straightened. thanks everyone.
