Metrologic scanner not scanning

i have installed the driver, it worked the first time but after i remove the usb and shutdown the computer and startup again, scanner failed to scan. do i have to install the driver and perform setup each time i restart the computer?

You should not need to install the driver each time. You should get tech support from the maker of the scanner.
