Hello all,

I am attempting to add an additional 6GB of memory to my system and am having some problems. Here's my current setup:

MOBO: ASROCK X58 Extreme
Memory: Patriot Viper Tri Channel 6GB PC10666 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?Sku=P33-6074

I am trying to add this memory: OCZ Gold Tri Channel 6GB PC10666 DDR3-1333MHz http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4282841&csid=ITD&body=MAIN]

Should this combination of memory work? So far I am not having any luck at all - system is totally unstable with blue screens and problems booting. I have not tweaked any memory settings in the BIOS - all AUTO

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

Patriot is a frequent, unresolvable, visitor. Try manually setting ALL memory the same and use CAS 9-9-9-20, Speed 1333, and DRAM Voltage 1.65V.

1333 MHz 7-7-7-20 @ 1.65V - Patriot
1333 MHz 9-9-9-20 @ 1.65V - OCZ

I assume that you are installing in sets 1/3/5 - OCZ, and 2/4/6 - Patriot.
