A saw a question similar to mine, but the person was using a single operating system. I have an IDE drive with Windows XP. I have been using it as an external drive. I just finished my first computer build (Windows 7, SATA 6.0 drive) and have space in the case for my IDE. Plan to get a converter to connect it to SATA. Since the OS is different, will it be possible for me to use the old drive for file storage? I will set the BIOS to boot from the new drive. Thanks.
