Solution jaquith Oct 21, 2010 ^ Yes, the BIOS / MOBO won't recognize the RAM; 4 GB is the MAX - http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Dimension%20E510 Windows 7 x64 works fine with 4GB RAM which is the minimum recommended, but too is sufficient to run smoothly.
