Hi, I am trying to install window 7 64 bit, but the max ram for my dell dimension e510 is 4gb. will anything happen to my pc if i exceed over the recommend ram compatible ? like adding 8gb to my pc.

^ Yes, the BIOS / MOBO won't recognize the RAM; 4 GB is the MAX - http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Dimension%20E510

Windows 7 x64 works fine with 4GB RAM which is the minimum recommended, but too is sufficient to run smoothly.
