More about phenom
  1. on the asus link you gave you can check the CPU support list!
  2. actually i didnt see that option lol silly me
  3. Looks like you're limited to 95W CPUs, so no 9850 for you. You're best off with a Athlon II X4 640.

Just make sure you update the BIOS for it and pay attention to the notes on the last column.

    HAHAHA

    that makes me laugh...:

I had the same board: Asus M2N-E before (same board, in fact, mine has the second PCI-e slot solders, just not the plastic piece you need to put the card in there, basically same board though, just mine had a lower price tag) and I actually put a 125 watt CPU in there... it worked, but wasn't entirely stable... so I underclocked it by 400 Mhz...

Phenom 9750 I think? dont remember exactly what it was.... I quickly traded it for a dual core black edition CPU which worked a lot better since I game and it had higher frequency.

Either way back to you, I would indeed go for the triple core CPU mentioned above, youll get better performance from it. The first Phenom series were rubbish.
  5. o really how come this triple core is better than this quad core... care to explain plz :D
like this board can only take AM2/AM2+ i doubt it can take an AM3 CPU
  6. how am i limited to a 95W cpu? where does it say that
