Updating BIOS

How Can I update My bios??
My motherboard is gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2L
Is it necessary to run it from a floppy disk?

No. Most have windows versions. Be sure to disable "bootblock" settings in your board bios and any firewalls before flashing. Most flash screens appear as small black windows and take 2-3 minutes to flash. You must wait for the flash program to tell you it's finished. Some will reboot the system automatically when done.

If you can flash from BIOS using Gigabyte's QFlash program, it's much safer. See the "BIOS Flashing" section here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/275856-30-gigabyte-guide
