First thing is to ensure that all cables are firmly connected (both ends) by unplugging then replugging. If this doesn't change the errors then replace the IDE/SATA cable and try again. If after all that it still doesn't work then you may just have a failed drive and recovery of data will be niether easy nor inexpensive. Hope you had a backup.
