Let me start by stating that this is will be my first build, and I welcome any and all criticism. I am currently only using Lenovo s10 netbook and obviously power is lacking. Basically I am looking for a small form factor general duty pc with an htpc emphasis.

  1. This stuff just came out and newegg does not yet have it (but they will, very soon)... I think the 3rd link talks about HTPC potential of the chipset.

  2. Hmm what i usually do up for clients with HTPC-light gaming needs is to incorporate a discrete like HD 4670 (preferably with native HDMI for easy connectivity to LCD TV) but with your budget think we can up the ante a wee bit hehe
  3. batuchka - I like that set up it offers a lot more in terms of value to me. Thanks for your response.

This set-up will work with a 46" lcd I take it?
  4. it will
  5. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a shorter case for this build. length and width aren't a problem. I just need something that comes in under 7.5 inches.
