Does anyone know how to change the interrupt number on the Geforce 6800 GT
graphics card in Windows XP? I have it installed on an Intel motherboad but
there is no setting in the BIOS for interrupt preference. The main board is
ATPI compliant and Windows XP assigns interrupt 16 to the card which is the
worst interrupt possible. I need to change it to interrupt 11, 10, or 15
but cannot do so in the Device Manager as the area for doing so is greyed
out. Is there a utility program somewhere that will allow me to override
the automatic settings? I've already tried reinstalling Windows XP from
scratch and yet the interrupt is still assigned to 16.

You can't...

....and what makes IRQ 16 "the worst"?

Upgrade the BIOS if possible. You can try to remove PCI adapter from Slot1
(next to AGP slot) and or switch the BIOS from APIC to PIC mode and or
disable all the resources you don't use. If it won't help, reinstall Windows
with the Standard HAL - hit F7 during initial stage of setup.
