I have a packard bell ixtreme x5620uk pc, with the following spec:

win 7 home premium 64
intel core 2 quad q8300 2.5ghz
640gb hdd
4gb ddr2 ram
nvidia 7100 integrated graphics

Basically, i don't want to buy a new psu, and would like to get a suitable graphics card for my pc. I am not a serious gamer, so i was thinking of something like a 256mb or 512mb card - pci express.

Any suggestions(i am in uk)

the 5570 has pretty good performance for the power consumption, and is probably your safest option, but it's overpriced at the moment and you can find better performing cards at the same price if your willing to risk their higher power consumption.

you should take a look at this article, which compares what i think are some of your best options.

* Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of Certified products

* DVD playback requires DVD drive
* Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive

AMD's gonna be a bit concervartive given the number of crappy PSU's out there. I'd put my system through this calculator and let it "do the math" for you:
