I own and IBM Thinkpad 600E and it has a faulty power connector. I have to
tweak the the power cord for it to recieve power. Some Laptop stores want
$160 - $175 to solder a new connector on the motherboard - this is almost
twice as much as I paid for it!
Does anybody know a supplier that would sell me a 600E power connector? I
would solder it on the motherboard myself.
Also: is there a how to website that will show me how to do this?

Are you sure that it's not simply dry joints, the solder simply needing
touched with a soldering iron to melt it, and it'll then be fine.
Do you have a soldering iron license?
