will I be able to play games like call of duty on a nividia gt 330m? and does the type of processor matter like i3 and i7. thanks

I think you'll be able to play it, but not at the highest settings. The processor does matter, but either i3, i5, i7 should be able to handle it. The other factors that would come into play is screen resolution, amount of RAM, and internet connection.

Assuming all else is good, the 330M graphics should get you playable FPS at medium to low settings.

The 330m replaces the 240m, and the 240 could get:
Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare (2007)
high: 38+ fps (GeForce GT 240M)
med.: 67+ fps (GeForce GT 240M)
low: 144+ fps (GeForce GT 240M)

Can't answer that question w/o knowing your resolution. It takes 13.33 times more oomph to play a game at 2560 x 1600 than at 640 x 480
