Upgrading memory, OC at risk? Tags: Memory Overclocking Last response: December 28, 2012 12:39 AM in Overclocking Share 1928sparda December 28, 2012 12:00:57 AM Hello, I have been running a 3570k at 4.5GHz and have had no problems, it is completely stable as i have tested time and time again. I'm currently running 8GB of RAM (2 X 4GB) at 1333 However, i was thinking of upgrading my memory to: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Will my overclock become unstable if i switch the memory? Will my CPU have to work harder therefor have higher temps if i do this switch or is everything A-OK to go? On a side note i am running a ASrock extreme4 z77 board. Thank you for your responses.
