Need hard drive eyes!

xp pro... hi everybody! i put a universal buslink / lite-on ltr-52246s cdrom in my pc. ever since i did that, the read/write led on my hard drive comes on n goes off about every second. this is very annoying! so what i'm hoping to find is a program that lets me see whatever information is being passed between the hard drive and whatever. also, i had no problems at all with anything b4 i put this cdrom in. here's some info

You could try updating the firmware/drivers for the drive.

you should be able to find the correct drivers with a simple google search.
