WAY too much ram ... go with 2X4GB or 4x2GB ... Puh-Lenty !!!

... The proc looks slow and weak ... go for a AM3 Black edition over 3GHz

FDD!! What apps to you use for a 4X4 GB RAM setup?? Ok, may be a typo.. Go for Phenom II X4 940 BE.. Can do with a seagate 7200.12 500GB also.. Rest all looks good..( May be can do without a lightscribe capable DVD-RW )

If you keep your motherboard, make sure that it is the new revision with USB3 and SATA6.

You might also want to take a look at the new 890 boards just coming out, ASUS M4A89GTD PRO and GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H.

What is your intended usage, you have a rather slow CPU for the money, and the same goes for the HDD.
