i have the intel E5200 @ 2.5Ghz processor and in my device manager it shows i have the E8400 @ 3.00 Ghz is it bad or can some1 give me the link to the proper driver?

Hi.

 

Driver for the CPU doesn't exist, download and use CPU-Z and Everest to check out what is the correct CPU that u have.

How do you know this? Explain, just to make sure.

Also, try running CPU-z and see what information it gives.

Also, either your system specs or a link to your OEM machine would be useful.

cpu-z says E5200, burn in test E5200 , n-tune E5200 , windows sayd E5200, and on the processor itself it says E5200 (just added as5)

Interesting. They all read 2.5GHz?

Wait, "windows sayd E5200"? But you just showed us a printscreen of windows device manager not showing an E5200.

All in all, it's not something to worry about though.

Right on my PC and properties: Ur E5200 is showed?

so if i uninstall the driver its prob better? ive had problems with the cpu reading the same temp and i was told its a sensor issue maby this is y?

BIOS isn't the same that Chipset.

The problem appears when u upgrade the BIOS?

have had cpu-z for a wile :P still says E5200

no it has always said that, i dont think the driver for this processor was ever installed because there used to be the E8400 in this a wile back

I think that this: http://www.dfi.com.tw/portal/CM/cm [...] &mode=view is ur mobo.

Download the file 9.1.1.1014 from the Intel INF utility, install it, reboot the rig and try again.

ok well i got the processor drivers fixed i uninstalled the old and natrually it got the right ones
