More about budget builparts list guys think
  1. The build will work fine for your intended use. The only suggestion I have is to maybe consider a slightly faster triple-core CPU. Here's a nice combo deal from www.newegg.ca

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.353291 $187.98 (AMD Athlon II X3 440 Rana 3.0GHz + Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 combo)

Here's another combo deal that might interest you:

    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.353289 $224.98 (AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz + Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 combo)
  2. Thx man , what do you think about the chipset on that board?
  3. The 770 boards make great builds when you don't need to leave the option of Crossfire open. That's a great board for the money.
  4. ive seen a few videos of the 5770 playing CODMW2 and in some it seemed laggy? i know there alot of variables but generally speaking this card should hack threw that game no problem right?

everything i play will be at 1680x1050
  5. The 5770 games pretty well at your resolution. The next logical step up would be a 5850, but that raises the price significantly.
  6. what about going with the older gen 4870? DX 11 is still pretty far off isint it?
  7. I wouldn't get a 4870. It's only SLIGHTLY faster than the 5770 in a few benchmarks. The 5770 also uses less energy, runs cooler, is quieter, and has DX 11 support. No, DX 11 isn't "pretty far off". There are games out right now that use it.
  8. ahh ic , well the 4870 is avail for 89.99 while the 5770 is 159.99 ...thats why i asked.
  9. Where are you seeing a 4870 for $89.99? Is a 1GB model? Is it new? If so, yes, that would be a good option if you're looking to lower the total cost.
