Hello,

I currently have an HP desktop and due to the fact that I am not a very techie person I don't know the specifics on my machine ... so I apologize in advance.

I believe I have a Duo Core 2 CPU with 4 gigs of memory and a EVGA GT 240 1gb ddr3 video card.

I am currently able to run WoW on medium to high settings with shadows and draw distance turned a bit down but I still get about 20-40 fps.

Now that isn't bad but I was wondering if I wanted more in order to play at the highest possible settings should I upgrade my video card and power supply (currently @ 300w) or should I invest on a new mobo with a new CPU ect ... ?

Please help

It really depends on what CPU you have.

Download CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com this will tell you the exact CPU you have.

The GT 240 is a very weak card most likely if you have a decent Core 2 CPU a GPU upgrade would help alot.

Do you have a budget for your upgrade since youe PSU is weak no matter what card you upgrade to you are gonna need a new one.

For a decent upgrade without costing to much I would get an HD 5770 and a decent 450 watt PSU or better.

HD 5770 $159.99 free shipping

and

OCZ Fatality 550 watt 44.99 after rebate free shipping

At full price I would not buy this PSU but for the price you can not beat it I picked one up last month and its been pretty stable PSU for my girls computer and has plenty of power and is really quiet.

Well I greatly appreciate all your answers.

I downloaded the program and found this information so maybe that will help out as well.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU E4400 @ 2.00GHz Socket 775 LGA
Core Speed 2000.7 MHz
4gb Memory PC2-5300 (333 MHz)
300 watt power supply
EVGA 240GT 1gb ddr3

I have been looking to possibly overclock my CPU and Memory but I don't know how and my BIOS doesn't allow me to ... any suggestions on an upgrade or overclocking ?

-Thanks again for the replies !
