Ultranoob question: Should i put TAPE between my motherboard and MoBo

do i need to put tape like masking tape between the bottom screw holes of my motherboard and the points of the motherboard tray where i screw it on including the standoffs? i know its a really new question but its only my 1st rebuild

my casing is a Thermaltake M9 case

No because that is what grounds the motherboard you want the standoffs touching.

ok there are 2 kinds of standoff right? the welded ones on the tray and the screw-ons so i shouldnt place any tape on any of them?

yep only the ones with screw holes matching them are under the motherboard and all of them are screwed inl

Nope just make sure you dont leave any extra standoffs under the motherboard. Make sure there are only standoffs where the motherboard has holes for the screws.
