4gb to 8gb

Hi, im building a pc for surfing the web(lots of youtube and facebook), school work, watching movies, and basic video editing with sony vegas pro 9.... would there be a big difference in my pc's preformance if i only got 4gb rather than 8gb of ram? The ram i will most likely get is G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600.

Most video Apps are all about CPU :: GPU for rendering. Per Sony "1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)" so 4GB of RAM would be good enough. However, before I can give the Green Light on the G.SKILL you'll need to post your MOBO so I can look if the {F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL} will work properly. Also, if you are running Windows 64-bit then 4GB is the minimum and you might want to think about 8GB; conversely Windows 32-bit then 4GB is good.

im on a 500 a budget... this is what i was thinking about buying...

also i will most likely be running windows 7 64bit, but there is a small chance it would be vista 64bit

Now, while the RAM 'may' work it is not a set that I would/could recommend. Therefore, contact G.SKILL http://gskill.com/contactus.php {submit an email and they will either approve or not the RAM - only conclusive way to know}. I've seen conflict Combos...
