Interesting article kinda goes along with what I was saying {CPU :: GPU} and it depends upon if you choose Windows 7 x64 -> then I would go the 8GB route. CPU::GPU::RAM - http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_build_ultimate_gaming_pc_step_step?page=1,3

Your question - Answer is 4GB {32-bit OS} or 8GB {64-bit OS}.

Welcome Back! :)

Most video Apps are all about CPU :: GPU for rendering. Per Sony "1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)" so 4GB of RAM would be good enough. However, before I can give the Green Light on the G.SKILL you'll need to post your MOBO so I can look if the {F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL} will work properly. Also, if you are running Windows 64-bit then 4GB is the minimum and you might want to think about 8GB; conversely Windows 32-bit then 4GB is good.

Now, while the RAM 'may' work it is not a set that I would/could recommend. Therefore, contact G.SKILL http://gskill.com/contactus.php {submit an email and they will either approve or not the RAM - only conclusive way to know}. I've seen conflict Combos...

Good Luck!
