I upgraded the driver on my video card and it erased my HDMI

Which driver did you upgrade to? And have you re-enabled HDMI via the Nv control panel?

to the newest nvidia from DEC 09

Have you tried the 196.34's?

Im in the Nv control panel and connot seem to find where to re-enable the HDMI

It should be under 'Set up Multiple Displays' IIRC.
