Pen drive has become crap

I bought a new Sandisk cruzer USB pendrive.I used readyboost once.When I removed the pendrive and inserted again ,a file named readyboost.cache has appeared in the drive and when i try to do any sort of work with it it says "drive is write protected".So what should i do? i cant afford a new pen drive

Get into computer and right click on your pen drive and go to properties. You have options of how much to use as ready boost, or none at all, and click use this device.
