Do not have permission to save to this directory?

When I try to save a file to a disk (E:) it says I don't have permission to
do so and that I should see the administrator to obtain permission.
Problem is I'm the administrator and have not a clue as to giving
permissions! Have 2 computers networked and both were working fine
yesterday. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Possibly run chkdsk /r on the drive to check for errors or corruption.

If you can see the files and folders take ownership and then replace the permissions.
