SSD vs. HDD heat?

If my stuff shows up tomorrow, I plan on on installing a single 1tb HDD and a 64gb SSD in my computer.
The SSD is coming with a bay adapter and i already have a hdd bay adapter.
i can put one of these new drives right in front of the intake fan in the front of my PC and the other will have to go in a disk drive bay. which one would benefit more from being in front of the intake fan at the front of my PC?

More about heat
  1. Mechanical drives tend to get hotter than SSDs and probably would benefit more from being in front of the fan. They are also more subject to failure due to heat.
  2. the HDD needs the fan
  3. Thanks guys, that is kinda what i assumed, but wanted some backup.
