Howdy. Just built my first computer ever (two of them, actually), and whenever I seem to try to install Windows 7, it locks up within about 30 seconds.
If I had more to go off of, I would have an idea of where to start evaluating where things are going wrong. This is happening on both systems that were built, which are identical.
As far as I can tell, there's nothing blatantly wrong; everything looks fine in the BIOS. (RAM timings, clock speed are what they should be...) so I'm at a loss.
AMD Phenom II X2 555 Callisto 3.2GHz Processor
MSI 770-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
Antec BP550 Plus 550W Power Supply
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
MSI N250GTS Twin Frozr 1G GeForce GTS 250 1GB
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA
MSI 24X DVD Burner
And that's what both machines look like. Both of them freeze. Help's appreciated!
All items were purchased from Newegg.
