Windows won't start up

Hi bit of a issue here... Started my computer and it went into system repair mode after where it says "Starting Windows". Came back saying it could not fix the issue. I looked at the log and it states that windows\system32\iastor.sys is corrup. I tried bookting from the win7 dvd and tried to restore to previous session but nothing is working, still going into the same system repair mode.

Don't tell me reformatting is the only way, please...

@jtpark: You could try safemode and run sfc /scannow

If System File Checker cannot fix, refer to this post. You get info to locate log file to ID corrupt modules. May have to copy them from another working Win7 system. http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/sfc-found-corrupt-files-but-cant-fix-them-519818.html
