I've recently bought a Core i5 but i'm really dissappointed.

I'm having a multiplier problem . . . I've done nothing to my bios settings , still i'm having 1197 MHz clock on 4 cores with a multiplier of x9 . . .
I've loaded the default settings many times in my BIOS but still having this problem.

Really, upset . . . please somebody help..

More about recently bought core dissappointed
  1. could be intel sppeed step... at 100% load is it still 1197mhz???
  2. Which is exactly how it should be at idle.

Try running an app, or Prime95, and it should jump up to 2.8GHz-3.2GHz.
