Hi all, quick question.

I just purchased a new monitor, http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/LG-W2361V-PF-23-inch-1080p-Full-HD-LCD-Monitor-Refurbished/4226812/product.html, (23inch, 1920 x 1080 max res).

I am also upgrading my video card from my current 9600 GT. So my question is, with this monitor would it be wise to spend more and make sure my new gpu is 1GB? I'm not sure how much 512 VS 1GB matters. I play alot of games such as Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2, Total War series, Age of Conan, and some RTS games. Thanks!

If it helps.. current system is:

Vista 32
Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53
4GB DDR2
9600GT
460Watt psu

Thanks!

Depends, any video card at the level of a 4870 or higher can use 1 gig (the GTX 260 is equipped with a weird amount (896MB), there aren't 1 GIG models of them).
A 4850/GTS 250 or below cannot use 1GB unless you have a horribly optimized game (GTA IV), so mostly it's the same performance, nothing more than a marketing tool.
