Installing ram in m2n-vm dh

Hello,
I have tried to install an extra 2gb of corsair DDR2 TWINX PC6400 RAM into my Asus M2N-VM DH motherboard but it won't boot up windows. It comes up with the motherboard page and then goes on to "Detect drives done, no any found" as it usually does but then it just stops there and won't boot up windows 7.
Help please!!!!

What current RAM do u have? Remove the current RAM, install the new one and try again.

Thank you for your response! I am using the same as I mentioned above - 2 x 1gb of corsair ddr2 ram. I have tried the different ram in different slots and have mixed up the old and new ram and it works but only if there is no more than 2gb installed. I don't understand why it won't work!

The 2GB works in any of the RAM slots?
