I am overclocking my Phenom II X6. should I be going by the CPU temperature, or the temperature of the cores? on 100% load I am 55C for CPU temperature, high 40s on the cores, which do I go by. AMD says to not go over 62C, do they mean the temp of the cores, or the CPU reading?

I'm almost certain that they mean the cpu and not just the cores. The cpu in this case can be viewed as a case and the cores are the components creating the heat. The Cpu heat is the overall heat generated by the Processor.
