We are looking for a 3D Nvidia Graphics card with 256MB RAM for a x8 slot workstation. Can anybody suggest a solution?

For a workstation AGP you are going to have to deal with some old tech.
Since you said x8 slot, I'm going to assume you mean AGP, which makes more sense to me.
I'm suprised there is an AGP as new as this one.

You'll find that since that slot is obsolete, you may be doing better by building a new workstation.

Again, by making this recommendation I am assuming:

By workstation card you mean something that will enhance either:
Complex CAD Designing
Video and or Photo-editting

You have an AGP x8 slot

You have the budget of a business.

100% Agree.

You'll see a huge improvement from getting a core i7 rig and putting the money towards an equivilantly price graphics card than you would just retrofitting your old hardware.

If you want to do it on the cheap, the GTX260 supports Adobe acceleration.
