My linksys wireless router keeps droping

Probably interference or reception issues. Experiment with channels until you find the strongest for your environment. If you can detect strong neighbouring wifi networks choose a channel five stops away from the strongest (i.e. if he's on 1 go to 6 or higher).

Raide the router above furniture level -- relocate cordless phone base or video sender away from router or computer.
