Over the last couple of days Ive been getting slow down on my PC in various ways most noticeably in the game Star wars the Old republic problems have included areas of the map not loading and dialoge taking along time to load (5 to 10 minutes) I checked Event Vierer (Im running Win 7 64x) and it showed alot of Event 7 errors which stated the following
The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.
There where over a hundred and where 10-30 seconds apart
I ran the Error checking tool (using the Scan for and attempt to repair option) and after a scan that took 12 hours (its a 1.5 TB with 200GB spare) it found 7 bad sectors
It then ran ok for about 24hrs and then I got slow down and another glut of Event 7 errors
The drive is a Western digital wd15ears-00z5b1 and its run fine for about 2 years.
I havent made any Hardware or software upgrades so Im at a bit of loss as to why Im getting this problem is the Hard Disk failing
Any help would be greatly appreciated
