I was able to get two XFX HD 5770s, and this is my first rodeo into crossfire. I was able to grab a AMD 955 BE as well, (thanx tax man). I was just wondering if anyone with 5770 CF has run the benchmark on default settings and is my score in line?

System as follows

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank for the reply. The only strange thing is I have some weird shading in Crysis. It's not like any artifacting or tearing I have ever seen. I hit the optimal setting scan, and it comes back on "high" however I have seen you tubes running on "very high". I haven't applied the 1.1 patch.

Like I said, this is the first time I have ever had a SLI or CF set up so it's new territory for me. If I rememeber correctly the 5850 specs are almost exactly double of the the 5770, so thanks again for the info.

first apply the newest patch to crysis, if that doesn't help try check your graphics card temperatures on load.

I applied Crysis Patch 1.1, and I no longer have the funky shading. Temp of GPU were idle 38c and top out at 62c after about 20 mins of gameplay. I don't have Fraps on this system so I don't have any idea of frame rate. Is there a FPS in game display that you would recommend?

press § ingame in crysis and then write r_displayinfo=1, then the game will show you your fps.

you can just download fraps from the web, i use the free version and its working fine.

thanx again Derbixrace, I was able to dredge up the command from memory, after a few syntax errors. I was curious if everyone was still using Fraps or if there was a latest/greatest. I really don't need all the additional info from the console in Crysis.

I have been wanting a crossfire system for ages, and I finally have one. Thanks for the help. Since I installed Catalyst 10.2, I haven't had any problems with gray screen.

I took your advice and got a Hyper 212+ as well. I used two Antec tricool red fans for push/pull. It looks like a flaming cube in my CM scout case. I was able to get to 4 Ghz and top out at 57c with OCCT Linpack.

I was looking for a better cooler, I knew I had hit the limit, thanks for the heads up on the 212. I was used to a 65c ceiling, glad you pointed it out.
