Ssd not reconized by bios need experts please

In my new build my mobo wont recognize my ssd. I got all happy after changing out the sata cable and saw it, shut down did some cable management and have not seen it agian. I tried different configs in the bios, achi on both controllers ide on both and mixmatched. Not sure what i am missing. the reviews on the drive looked ok, but i wonder if i have a bad one. I can see the sata dvd on both controllers and the sata 3.0 hdd i brought over from another build. what am i missing any suggestions to try.

That's not important we need know if the SSD works independent of the port (SATA II or SATA III) model.

did not show in bios on my other rig, guess its dead. anyone ever rma with mushkin there phone support sounded good said they would advance rma it out the same day, and asked for a credit card number. no comfirmation email though...

RMA should work at this point, did you bought the SSD on a local store?

waiting... i cant belive the service mushkin offers i went on the forum and asked about the rma process cuz i havent gotten an email about the status of my rma and i got someone from mushkin to respond within the hour and even though i dont have a ticket number he is researching it for me using my personal info..
