Problem with my Power Options

I recently purchased an XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 with the help of this forum. Now I have upgraded, my monitor doesn't turn off. I get the screen saver as usual, then after it's supposed to turn off the screen goes blank (it's not off, it's showing a blank picture hope that makes sense) the power light is still blue like it's reciving full power doesn't turn amber like it used to when using the HD 2400.

I rechecked my power options and it's set correctly.

When you get this blank screen, unplug the screen's cable from the GPU, if the screen will turn off then, the problem source is from the PC and not from the monitor.

Try to use a different screen saver.

Try to set the screen power-off before the screen-saver display.

There might be a problem with the ATI drivers that they recognize your screen as HDTV. Check your display properties.

I am not sure what happened, it it seemed to fix itself.
