ZALMAN LQ-310 Water Cooler is $30 after rebates on newegg. That is the same price as the hyper 212 evo.

does it do any better than the hyper 212 evo?

Reviews of the LQ315 and LQ320 are favorable at CPU Magazine. The LQ310 should be fairly close in comparison.

Looks like a good deal for a solid product.

supposedly, the 310 can handle 300w, while the 315 does 330w, and the 320 does 340w. I don't recognize the thermal measurement, but I could probably say that the 315 gets a 10% increase in cooling and a blue led bulb.

I need to know if it's definitely going to work better than a hyper 212 evo.

Most likely it's going to be push/pull either way unless I'm advised to put the sickleflow fan on the front of the nzxt 210 instead.

With out a direct comparison, it is hard to say. I use 212 EVOs extensively and I am VERY pleased with how they perform. For $30, the Zalman is worth checking out.

it's all ordered for the office build, and my dad may be pleased with the low amount of noise from the cooler's pwm fan.

have you used the nzxt source 210?

I have not used the NZXT case, but it gets good reviews and appears to be a decent budget case. Good choice.

I'm SO glad I got it on sale with a rebate. It performs on-par with the h100, and I'm sure the 315 and 320 do even better.
