  1. If it is completed, you might have an option of getting it stickied but according to the moderators, there aren't allowed anymore stickies in the homebuilt system forum. One of us that have a sticky will need to agree to have it unsticked if truly we can't add more.

How do you plan to input the listing? Post what you think is the best than have other posters respond and you update youd list? It is hard to maintain a list on your own, let alone a group list. You best option is to follow how Proximon setup his Ranked PSU List. You can PM him for details on how it is setup.

  3. For AM3 i dun think it optimal to think of 'best' mobo as per price A user who does 0% gaming will be served well with say an IGP 785G/760G chipset and perhaps nabbing a quad like AthlonII X4 620 or the PhenomII X4 925 Also cutting down from a 790FX/890GX/790X to a 770 if a user has 0% need for CF/SLI and resulting in funds being channelled to a superior GPU would result in 100% superior gaming performance end of the day too within the same budget :P In short its all about end user needs and finding an optimal configuration i.e are tasks more CPU/GPU intensive or both?
  4. I completely agree with batuchka. I tried to tell "bob" that in another thread. There is no "best" component at a certain budget. The "best" components are determined by the users needs.
  5. Uh, well for the purpose of the thread, let's assume for gaming.

Well, i'l update the list with what Obsidain posted. If anyone wants to chalenege/Add anthign on the list, feel free to post. I'l go ahead and do cases.

So kust to be clear, thesea re best componments for GAMING.

Also, i would like to chalenge Obsidians 400$+ motherboard.

  6. Bump, we should realy fill this out.
  7. Best answer
I'm with shortstuff. You can't just pick best parts according to price. There are a number of factors to include. The best component is determined by the build that's around it. What's the point in saying "this is the best board for $100" without figuring out the rest of the build?

This thread is especially useless since the main two parts of the build (CPU, GPU) get a monthly article by professionals on the front page. You should set what you need as far as the main performance pieces and then work every out around that...
