Changing motherboard?

Tomorrow I'm gonna install a new motherboard but do I have to re install my OS? I only have the audio drivers installed which I can uninstall.

Yes you will most likely have to reinstall.Unless the motherboard is just a swap of the same thing then u will be just fine..

If it's the same chipset family, you can at least try to boot with the old OS. Make sure you have the new network driver on CD or stick.

I have the 990X right now and I'm getting a 970.

You cannot use the old OS Windows because, the windows is tied to the old motherboard.
