Quiet Cpu cooler

Hi I want to replace my phenom X4 955 stock AMD cooler with something quiet. I have heard that the Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B CPU Cooler can be mounted fan less, would this work for my cpu? Also i don't overclock, all i want is the quietest cooler possible that's not too expensive and wont' break my motherboard when i go to LAN parties.

Any suggestions other than the mugen?

You have a hot running cpu i would just go with a quiet cooler with a fan.
The Thermalright MUX-120 would be a good choice and is alot smaller then the Scythe.
I have one and had to open the case a couple of times when i first got it to see if the fan was even spinning.
Very quiet it actually runs at 19db for real.

You could also try Cooler Master's Hyper 212 Plus. I bought one a few months ago, pretty quiet, keeps the CPU really cool and is not too big. At $30, its a great deal.

The MUX-120 and the Mugen are much quieter then the 212+.
The 212+ is an excellent cooler but i wouldn't consider it quiet.
I have one on one of my 3 rigs.
You can apply this 1156 cooler round-up to your cpu since everyone of these coolers now have AMD compatibility.
