Help! I have read the manual and I have also read that lockpicking is
supposed to be fairly
easy. But I am having trouble with it. I know about the openings on the
right side, and I know to do each ring when they
start to shake. But when ring shakes, what exactly am I supposed to do? I
move the mouse around and can't get it to move to open. I did one ring,
somehow, and can't get past the second. I believe there are three. Thanks

When the ring starts moving, move your mouse a little bit to each side to
see when Garret raise his hand up (his hand changing position). then left
click, or just hold the position until the ring opens.

Hope this helps!

There are a couple of locks towards the end where you must use the
mouse. The goldsmith's is one of them.

You can't get DirectX 10 on Windows XP. It's impossible, not going to happen. On Vista and Windows 7, you don't need to download it (it's already in them).
