Didn't dig into the specs but, given that the PSU has all your "future" connectors and that your cooler is "socket compatibe" (no doubt) then the build looks SUPERB

Eyefinity Support is desired for multi-monitor desktop ... everything from a 5670 (on up) should do that.

1GB min GDDR? ... Display port (yes) ... VGA D-Sub (NO!) .. ADAPT if VGA is needed.

Looks great ... Buy 2 and give ME one !

    = jealous =

I already have the i7-920, picked it up for $150. That's why I stated in my post that those were parts I already had. I picked up the antec for $100 and the PSU for $30, so I can't do anything about those. I just need to figure out if the rest of the parts were good.

I was looking at that heat sink earlier, but wasn't sure which would be the better buy. I didn't pick the hyper 212 since it looked like it would be noisier. Not sure about performance of both though.
  3. Whoa, were did you get the i7-920 for 150$? Where did you get that case and psu for that? Also, the HSF i picked is the flat out best HSF under 65$.

Friend of mine works for a company which distributes the i7. His company sold him one, and he didn't need it so I just got it from him. The PSU I got on some crazy sale, and the case I got refurbished.
  5. Crazy sale where?
  6. Good job! Don't change a thing.
  7. Whoa, i want to here where that sale was. Ebay? Govt. seizure Auctions?

I don't remember I saw it on slickdeals or some other random place I frequent a long time ago. It was discounted and had a rebate on top of it. I actually picked up the i7 back in January and have just been waiting for deals to come along. Kind of got lucky and all the parts I wanted went on sale at once today.

Nope, it's a very manly looking cooler and a tiny little processor.

Lolz, that would be funny as hell if he got a fake one, thinking he got such a great deal.
  13. Don't mind Us ... We are just jealous. I fantasize about a 10 min "all u can" shopping spree, at Fry's with a big shopping cart ... at midnight ... with blue flashing strobes ... in fuzzy house slippers and one of those Canadian hats with ear flaps.

... just kidding ... about the strobe.
