Hello.

I've bought Gigabyte 7970 GHz (3x windforce) and updated bios to it's newest version but I still thing that this card is too loud.
Using MSI Kombustor it has had around 70 celsius degrees and 85% of max fan speed.

I have tried to set manualy fan speed to 55% and this temperature went up to 85 degrees so I think is not too much. With 55-60 % fan speed it was a lot quieter.

Is there any way to improve fan speed controller? Maybe there is a better bios from other reference 7970?

Thank you and please forgive me if I wrote something wrong, I'm not nativ :)
Ekci.

I have found that MSI Afterburner has an ability to "user defined fan control".
Finally my PC doesn't sound like vacuum :)

Yes. You can create like a temp/speed fan curve in it which is very great.

Try to lower the FAN speed with a temperature no more than 70C at full usage. If that doesn't work for you try cleaning it's FAN or buy a new cooling solution. 7970 is a loud card but great when you spend $25 for a extra cooling solution.

I did it but I set 80-85 as max temperature (65% fan speed). Do you think that it is too many degrees at max load?

Nah, I wouldn't recommend it since you will shortage the life-spam of your GPU for just 2FPS. Try to keep the temperature under 76C. ;)
