Been away for a while... is the Intel X25M still the best SSD around?

Hello,
I have been away for a while, is the Intel X25M still the best SSD around?
Or is there new contenders i should look for?

Im looking to spend the extra bucks on a SSD on a new build, because i believe that is the most noticable speed increase per dollar spent.

thanks. Are the OCZ and crucial drives as fast as the Intel ones? (or if they are just very close in speed, would be ok)

Which one is the fastest?

Not too sure about the OCZ ones, but the Crucial C300 is definitely faster than the X25-M's, especially if you use the SATA 6Gbps.
